Coin Cellar

Coin Cellar is a shopkeeping RPG about the two halves of a merchant's life: the dungeon under your floorboards, and the customers who walk through your door. BY DAY — Customers wander in and covet what's on your tables. Walk up to the ones with something to say and name your price. Every archetype hides a different tolerance: the cheapskate walks at the first insult, the collector will overpay for the right trinket. Land within a hair of a customer's limit for a PERFECT DEAL and chain the combo. Push too hard three times and they storm out the door. BY NIGHT — The shop closes, the trapdoor opens. Delve procedurally generated floors full of skitters, slimes, goblins, wisps, and brutes. Everything they drop is tomorrow's stock. Stairs go down, risk goes up, loot gets shinier — but get carried out at 0 HP and half your gold stays down there. EVERY THIRD DAY — The Merchants' Guild collects. Make five payments and the deed to the shop is yours. Miss one and it is over. Capitalism, ho!
